It’s on!!!
Alright so it worked out, Im going to the border for a week starting Thursday. We will meet representatives from human rights groups in Agua Prieta/Douglas border to El Paso/Juarez border. It will be an opportunity to make more connections at the border, meet prominent journalists, and to get away from phoenix for a week and focus on a subject that really interests me.
This is a cross placed on the Mexico side of the border fence. Each ribbon is the name of a person who has died crossing into the United States in the last year. The cross was over sixteen feet tall, imagine how many people it represents . . . .
